Choose the target audience first

Decide which language and region the video is for. A local phrase or name may need a deliberate adaptation rather than a literal translation.

Review the transcript before recording

Correct the source transcript and remove filler that does not help the translated version. This creates a better script for a voice model or a human narrator.

Match the new speech to the edit

Keep the translated lines close to the original intent and pacing. If a sentence becomes longer, adjust the wording or give the shot more breathing room.

Listen for meaning, not just accuracy

Ask a fluent speaker to review tone, pronunciation and cultural context. A technically correct translation can still sound unnatural.
